Boil Water Advisory – 100 Block of Gorrie & 200 Block of MacKenzie Ave. West
DUE TO AN UNSCHEDULED DISTRIBUTION SHUT OFF FOR REPAIRS THE QUALITY OF THE WATER CAN NOT BE GUARANTEED. ALL WATER FROM TAPS SHOULD BE BOILED FOR AT LEAST ONE MINUTE IF IT USED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
Boiling inactivates harmful bacteria in the water that may cause illness. Once boiled the water can be stored in the refrigerator in a clean food safe container and should be used for other activities where it may be ingested, including:
- Brushing teeth or soaking false teeth;
- Washing fruits and vegetables;
- Adding to uncooked food or drink;
- Ice cubes;
- Water for pets.
THIS ADVISORY SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL A NOTICE OF RESCIND IS ISSUED.
