In accordance with By-Law #11-05, all dogs and cats in the Town of Atikokan need to be licensed each year (altered and microchip pets receive a lifetime tag), OR within 8 weeks of adoption or 8 weeks of moving to Atikokan.

When you register your pet, you will receive a pet tag that can be used by Animal Control to reunite you and your lost pet.

Due to the delay in receiving tags, the deadline for 2023 registration has been moved to March 1, 2023. Renewal tags purchased after this date will be subject to a late fee.
