The Atikokan Recreation and Wellness Centre was opened in 2018 when a multi-million dollar project to connect and renovate the existing Atikokan Municipal Swimming Pool and Community Arena was completed. The result of this project is a modern, fully accessible facility with a 14,580 square foot ice surface, 25m long pool and multi-purpose room perfect for rentals.

Atikokan Municipal Swimming Pool
The Atikokan Municipal Swimming Pool offers a variety of programs for all ages, from learn to swim programs to adult fitness classes. The Nakokita Swim Club offers skills development and training for youth.
Atikokan Community Arena
The Atikokan Community Arena is operational from early fall to the early spring, each year. Located in the heart of Northwestern Ontario, outfitted with modern changerooms, a canteen availiable for rentals and a comfortable spectator area, the Atikokan Community Arena is ideal for hockey/ringette tournaments and figure skating exhibitions, hosting players from across the region. Atikokan Minor Hockey, Atikokan Figure Skating Club, and the Atikokan Ringette Association offer programming for adults and children, as well as public skating and adult fitness skate programs.
In the summer, you can book our dry pad at the Atikokan Community Arena. All types of events are welcome including concerts, banquets, corporate events and sporting events.

Rentals
