Cemetery
The Town of Atikokan operates and maintains two cemeteries – the Atikokan Cemetery (Mackenzie Avenue) and the Little Falls Cemetery (Little Falls Road). The Atikokan Cemetery no longer has lots availiable for purchase, interments still take place for reserved lots only.
The Little Falls Cemetery has both full size burial plots and cremation plots, as well as three columbaria with individual single and double niches available for purchase.
The Atikokan Cemetery Board governs both cemeteries and consists of five members, two of whom are members of Council. The Cemetery Board meets monthly from May through September. If you are interested in joining the Cemetery Board, please contact Sue Bates, Clerk at (807) 597-1234 ext. 234.
