Energy Management
In accordance with The Electricity Act, O.Reg 507/18, the Town of Atikokan has established a long-term Community Energy Plan to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption from Town operations and facilities. Atikokan’s Community Energy Plan works to align with provincial, national and international goals to reduce energy consumption and help reduce the impacts of climate change.
The Town of Atikokan’s Community Energy Plan is currently under review.
Municipal Energy Consumption
The Electricity Act, O.Reg 507/18 also requires Municipalities to submit their energy consumption every second year, and make the same available to the public.
